So glad to have this forum. Conservatives/republicans are under-represented in the local media and therefore local politics.
I am thrilled that you might harness the energy of the tea party participants and facilitate true grass-roots efforts.
There is no, shall we say, frank and unafraid, discussion of local and national politics in this community.
I have a child currently being indoctrinated at Uni High School. She is stunned by the liberal advocacy she encounters, worse still is that much of this is based on mis-information, and out-right lies.
You would be amazed at the stories.

Awesome. Just please tell all the conservatives you know in the area about this so we can maximize participation. There's no sense in having all these scattered, random conservatives not working together...especially in a state this overwhelmed with liberalism.

As for the educational system...I know it all to well. I just published a book with my own horror stories. One I did not include was the recent case where my 6-year-old daughter came home talking about how violent and hateful "white Americans" are to people who aren't like them.

In my book, I argue that this perpetual and completely unaccountable partisan misinformation machine begins and ends with academia and the news media. They are ground zero. They are 90% of the problem. That is where our battle must focus its attention.

Thanks for joining.

Hi MMM,

As far as an antidote for the public school indoctrination, I have a couple kids in Edwardsville school, and this stuff drives me nuts.
Here is a local (sort of) resource that might be of some help:
